Program Introduction(专业介绍) The Environmental Design Program is a National First-Class Undergraduate Program. In response to national strategies such as “Beautiful China” and ecological civilization development, and guided by the needs of local economic growth and sustainable habitat construction, the program leverages the university’s strengths in humanities, architecture, and materials science, along with the resources of its Class-A Design Institute. Through integrated theoretical learning and design practice that bridges science and art, the program equips students with a solid knowledge framework and substantial practical skills in environmental design. Graduates are prepared to address complex challenges in human settlements from multiple perspectives, serving society in areas including: Landscape Design and Urban Renewal, Architecture and Interior Environment Design, Environmental Facilities and Urban Furniture, Textiles and Soft Furnishing Design and Rural Revitalization and Regional Cultural Tourism. The Environmental Design Program is interdisciplinary, spanning key fields including technology, art, design, engineering, and management. It focuses on integrating traditional culture, health and safety standards, digital technologies, and sustainable design into the development of human habitats. The program is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of professionals who can address pressing societal needs in regional economic development and environmental construction. These graduates are high-caliber, interdisciplinary talents with a global vision and a strong sense of social responsibility. The curriculum is structured around three specialized tracks: Creative Spatial Design, Spatial Design Engineering, and Textiles for Spatial Design. This structure supports a distinctive talent development model characterized by deep collaboration among the university, local governments, enterprises, and research institutes, integrating industry, academia, and research.Environmental Design Program
