Professor Liu Zhao from School of Design, Shanghai Jiao Tong University  Delivered a Lecture at Our School

On the afternoon of April 13, we successfully held an academic lecture entitled "Innovative Design Driven by Digital-Intelligence Integration — From Data Governance to Human-intelligence Collaboration" in the College Lecture Hall (Room A122, Art Building). The lecture was given by Professor Liu Zhao from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and hosted by Professor Li Zhixiu, Dean of the college. Faculty members and student representatives attended the lecture and explored the cutting-edge path of integrating digital-intelligence technology with design discipline.

At the beginning of the lecture, Dean Li Zhixiu extended a warm welcome to Professor Liu Zhao. She introduced the development direction of promoting interdisciplinary integration through digital-intelligence transformation, and emphasized the significance of the lecture in improving the innovative design capabilities and broadening academic horizons of our faculty and students.

Focusing on the core theme of "Deconstructing the Logic of Digital-Intelligence Integration and Cultivating Interdisciplinary Innovative Design Competence", Professor Liu Zhao shared his insights from two dimensions: data governance and human-intelligence collaboration. He systematically explained the application logic of cutting-edge technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, deep learning and intelligent design in the design field. Based on his achievements in presiding over national and provincial/ministerial research projects and publishing more than 100 high-level academic papers, he deeply analyzed how digital-intelligence technology empowers practical scenarios including red cultural and creative design, architectural space optimization and product innovation R&D, presenting a complete methodology of innovative design driven by digital-intelligence integration for the audience.

Meanwhile, combining with his experience in scientific research and teaching, Professor Liu Zhao shared practical experience in interdisciplinary team building and industry-university-research collaborative innovation. He encouraged the audience to break disciplinary barriers, take technology as the starting point and design as the carrier, and explore new development directions of design disciplines in the new era.

In the interactive session, the audience actively raised questions about the practical application of AI in design, interdisciplinary project application, academic paper publication and other issues. Professor Liu Zhao answered each question in detail. All participants stated that the lecture was motivating and insightful, not only deepened their understanding of digital-intelligence integrated innovative design, but also provided new ideas and methods for future academic research and design practice.

This lecture injected new impetus into the discipline construction and talent training of our school. In the future, we will continue to launch a series of academic activities to enhance influence, help faculty members and students to develop into interdisciplinary design talents with innovative thinking and practical abilities, and contribute to the "Double First-Class" construction of Nanchang University.
